We’ve got bowls!

You may have noticed that at the end of the summer, we started our very first collection of Home Goods. It was a small collection of just 5 woven bowls, but they set a precedent by selling out within about a week. In a business as tiny as ours, this was a big deal!

Since the collection was gone almost as soon as we got it posted, we knew that restocking them for the holiday season would be a good choice. And guess what? It was! We sold several in the few hours after posting our restocks and brand new styles!

So what makes these bowls so cool?

First of all, they are all hand-woven. Every bowl has been made by hand by artisans in Rwanda who are paid fairly for their work. Next, they are incredibly sustainable because they are made from locally-harvested sisal fibers that are artfully woven over forest grasses.

Some of these fibers are dyed using natural, locally-sourced ingredients to create sunburst, flowers, shamrocks, and more!

The bowls in our current collection measure 7” in diameter and take the artisans between 1-2 days to create from start to finish. Each bowl has a hook on the back so you can hang it on the wall in addition to using it to hold snacks or to decorate a bookshelf or tabletop. Every bowl also comes with a hangtag that is signed by the artisan who crafted each piece.
