When Ethos Kolekto opened in June of 2020, the plan was only ever for it to be a jewelry and accessories shop. The goal was to carry curated collections of things like jewelry, scarves, bags, and that was it, but as the years have gone by and we’ve connected with more and more amazing fair trade brands around the world, we’ve taken a bit of a leap of faith and have started to curate home goods.

We added beautiful rattan bowls from Rwanda for Holiday 2022 and had a hard time keeping them in stock! They are all stocked up again, so if you see something that you like, now is a great time to grab it!

At the nudging of a realtor friend, we’ve also picked up aprons, bowls, oven mitts, and even tea gift sets from Kenya! She’s planning to gift them in closing baskets when her clients purchase a home, but they are awesome gifts or pieces to add to your own household. These new goodies from Kenya are all handmade by fair trade artisans from recycled traditional fabrics. Each and every piece is totally unique, since the artisans are using what they are able to locally recycle and they are getting creative with it!

Each product comes with a hang tag featuring a photo and brief biography of the person who made it, in a great personal touch to connect you to a stranger on the other side of the world!
